Ellen A. Weber

WILLIAMSPORT-Ellen A. Weber, 82, of Williamsport, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2008 at her home surrounded by her family. Ellen was born on October 2, 1925 in Williamsport, daughter of the late Walter R. and Marian E. (Rook) Weber. She worked for GTE Sylvania in Montoursville for 43 years and retired in 1988. Ellen was a member of the GTE Retirees Club and volunteered at L.A.P.S. She loved to garden and grow indoor house plants like African violets, loved dogs, wild birds, and squirrels. She was always visiting her sick friends and loved to buy lottery tickets. Ellen is survived by her daughter Kathy E. Weber of Williamsport, her brother Ray H. Weber of Williamsport, her nephews and nieces: Ray Weber of Granby, MO, Karen Schiller of Sunnyvale, TX, Richard Weber of Williamsport, Eric Weber of South Williamsport, Charles Weber of Williamsport, Michael Weber of Williamsport, Kathy Paternostro of Williamsport, Jason Paternostro of Williamsport, David Marks of Dallas, TX, Tony Marks of Fort Worth, TX, Jimmy Weber of Gilmer, TX, Terri Gerhardt of Caledonia, MI, Tina Winters of Williamsport, 19 great nieces and nephews, and Ellen's favorite dog pal "Tyler". Ellen is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Lois Marks, her brothers: Charles, Jack, and Howard Weber, along with several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are welcome to gather from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at the Allen & Redman Funeral Home, Inc., 331 Elmira Street Williamsport, PA. The memorial service to honor Ellen's life will be held after the visitation at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday night at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Montoursville Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ellen's name to L.A.P.S. P.O.
