Elizabeth Wissel

RED LION- Elizabeth (Rector) Wissel, 89, of Windsor Township, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2024 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Edmund Wissel.

Services will be private. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion is assisting with the arrangements.

Mrs. Wissel was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 18, 1934, the daughter of the late Robert and Monica (Gonzolvez) Rector. She was a loving homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She leaves a son, John Wissel of Homosassa, FL. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Rector.

Elizabeth spent the last 8 years in the care of her great-niece Annette Gebhardt, her husband Andrew, and their 3 children Lonnel, Phoebe, and Lillian. As of the past 2 years she shared a room with her niece Catherine Rector, whom she had been close with during Cathy's childhood and grew closer with during these last 2 years.
