MILTON - Elizabeth Virginia “Ginny” (Johnson) Jones, beloved wife and mother, 89, of Milton went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 29, 2016 at the Milton Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born on November 28, 1926 in Milton and was the daughter of the late Walter and Nettie (Dorsey) Johnson. Elizabeth loved her town and was a proud Miltonian. On Good Friday, April 12, 1974, Elizabeth married Charles G. “Charlie” Jones, Jr., who survives, they were married for 42 years. She was a graduate of Milton High School Class of 1944. A member of the St. Paul’s A.M.E. Church, Milton, a social member of the American Legion Post # 251 and the VFW Post # 1665. She was also very active in her School Alumni Association. Elizabeth really enjoyed playing pool and donating blood through the local American Red Cross, horse racing, traveling and spending time with her family. In addition to her husband Charlie, Elizabeth is survived by one son and daughter-in-law; Charles and Josie Green of Stroudsburg, three grandchildren; Mercedes Green of Milton, Marisol Wilson of Califon, NJ and William O. Green of San Francisco, CA, two great grandchildren; Mikah Wesoloski and Lovely LeBlanc, and two great great grandchildren; Mykel Wesoloski and Winifred Wilson along with numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by three brothers; James, Walter and Robert Johnson and two sisters; Helen Guinn-Baily and Clarabelle Stewart. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Local Milton Chapter of the American Red Cross, 560 Mahoning Street, Milton, PA 17847. All services for Elizabeth will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place at a later date in Harmony Cemetery, Milton. Arrangements are being handled by The Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front Street, Milton.
