Elizabeth (Moreno) Kordek

WILKES-BARRE-Elizabeth Kordek, 86, of Lincoln Plaza, Wilkes-Barre, formerly of Hanover Township, died Thursday evening in Golden Living Center, Tunkhannock. Born in Hanover Township on September 13, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Elizabeth (Gonzales) Moreno. She was a member of St. Aloysius Church and the I.L.G.W.U. Prior to retiring, she was employed by Pioneer and Leslie Fay. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; daughter, Elizabeth Walch; brother Robert Moreno; sisters Katherine and Margaret Moreno; step father, Anthony Millan. Surviving is her granddaughter, Donna Walch, Eaton Twp.; one grandchild; three great-grandchildren; brothers Manuel Moreno, Saxonburg; Santiago "Sam" Millan, Tunkhannock; sisters Tina Sanfratello, Phoenix, AZ; Toni Zeveney, Wesley Chapel, FL; several nieces and nephews. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family from Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 465 S. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
