Elizabeth M. (Mccreary) Weikel

York—Elizabeth M. (McCreary) Weikel, 89, died Friday, July 17, 2009 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Curtis A. Weikel. A celebration of life service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, July 30, 2009 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 839 W. Market St., York, with the Rev. Diane G. Wenthe, officiating. Burial will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York, is in charge of arrangements. Born February 2, 1920 in Embreville, Chester County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Towsley and Miriam Z. McCreary. She was employed in the housekeeping department at Pleasant Acres Nursing Home, formerly York County Hospital and Home. Elizabeth was a former member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. Mrs. Weikel is survived by her daughter, Linda N. Miller and her husband Russell of York, one grandson, Robert Alan Miller and several other family members and close friends.
