Elizabeth M. (Foust) Jacoby

YORK Elizabeth M. (Foust) Jacoby, 87, passed away Monday, December 13, 2010. She was the wife of the late William C. Jacoby, Sr.A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, December 17, 2010 at Faith United Church of Christ, 509 Pacific Ave., York, PA with her Associate Pastor Amy Dows officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements.Born August 3, 1923 in York a daughter of the late George K. and Marie V. (Strasbaugh) Foust, she was a 1941 graduate of West York High School. Mrs. Jacoby had worked for the former S. Morgan Smith Co. during WWII. She was a life member of the ladies auxiliary of Reliance Fire Co. in West York; York Co. AARP; ladies auxiliary of VFW Post 8951, West York; and was active in several card and bridge clubs.Mrs. Jacoby is survived by a daughter, Susan M. and husband Lloyd Runkle of Seven Valleys; two step grandchildren, Kathy A. Humbert and Lloyd D. Runkle; five step great grandchildren, Kayla, Kortney, Josh, Hunter, and Shae-Lynn; and many nieces and nephews including her special nephew, Michael Foust. She was preceded in death by a son, William C. Jacoby, Jr.; two brothers, George and Charles Foust; and a sister, Barbara Angel.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith UCC, 509 Pacific Ave., York, PA 17404.
