Elizabeth G. (Stone) Slick

LEWISBERRY- Elizabeth G. (Stone) Slick, 87, of Fairview Township, died Friday, May 27, 2011 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Leroy J. Slick. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at New Life Baptist Church, 530 Big Springs Road in New Cumberland, with a viewing from 10-11 a.m. at the church. Her pastor, The Reverend Ronald G. Riggins and The Reverend Michael Shuff will be officiating at the service. Entombment will be in Rolling Green Cemetery in Camp Hill. Beaver-Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 W. Front Street in Lewisberry is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Slick was born in Royalton on May 16, 1924, a daughter of the late Robert Carlton and Gertrude Mae (Steinruck) Stone. She worked for the former Miller’s Auto Supply of Harrisburg before retiring from Hill Air Force Base as a Cataloger for the Federal Government. Mrs. Slick was a member of New Life Baptist Church in New Cumberland, Auto License Plate Collector’s Association and enjoyed collecting Longaberger Baskets. Mrs. Slick leaves a son, Leroy R. Slick of Middletown; a son-in-law, Ron Eppley of Lewisberry; two grandchildren, Toni Slick of Rehoboth Beach, DE and Brian S. Eppley of Harrisburg; and a sister, Eileen Meckley of Manheim. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nikki L. Eppley. Memorial contributions may be made to New Life Baptist Church, 530 Big Springs Rd., New Cumberland, PA 17070.
