Elizabeth "Betty" Kowalsky POTTSVILLE-Elizabeth "Betty" Kowalsky, 64, of Pottsville died Thursday morning at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA. Born in Pottsville November 9, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Malachi and Mary Frances Eagan Campion. She graduated from Pottsville Catholic High School in 1962. Mrs. Kowalsky was a crossing guard for the Pottsville Area School District. She also worked at the York Terrace Nursing Home, and Saint Patrick Rectory. Mrs. Kowalsky was a member of the Saint Patrick Church, the church choir, and she was a member of the parish picnic committee. Mrs. Kowalsky is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Thomas Campion. Surviving is her husband of 46 years Gerald P. Kowalsky, a son Thomas G. Kowalsky, husband of Colleen, West Chester, PA; three daughters Lisa A., wife of William Grustas, Diane, wife of Michael Maley, both of Pottsville; and Karen C. Kowalsky, Mechanicsburg, PA. Eight Grandchildren Harry & James Thomas; Billy & Christopher Grustas; Mary K. & Bridget Kowalsky; Shelby & Michael Maley, one great-grandchild Dakota Thomas. A sister Margaret "Peg", wife James Clews, Pottsville, one nephew and five nieces. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 2, 2008 at Saint Patrick Church. Family and friends may call at the Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc. on Sunday evening from 6:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. and on Monday from 8:30 a.m. till 9:30 a.m. Interment Our Lady of Calvary Chapel, Hillside, Pottsville, PA.
