Elizabeth A. Reiley

POTTSVILLE- Elizabeth A. Reiley, 80, of Pottsville, passed away Monday at Schuylkill Medical Center, South Jackson Street, Pottsville. Born in Philadelphia on October 12, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Margaret Stong Carroll. Elizabeth was a 1948 graduate of Pottsville Catholic High School. She received her bachelors degree in elementary education in 1952 from College of Mount Saint Vincent, Bronx, NY. She worked for the Pottsville Area School District as a teacher for 10 years. She then worked for Schuylkill County Child Development, Pottsville, for 32 years until she retired in 1993. Elizabeth was a member of Saint Patricks Church, Pottsville. She was a cubscout den mother, member of the Rotary Little League and CYO Booster Clubs, Pottsville. She was also a member of the Saint Patricks Church Ladies Auxilary. She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Reiley, who passed away December 30, 1993; her two sisters, Mary E. Copp and Virginia Carroll. Elizabeth is survived by her two sons, William C Reilley, husband of Laurie, of Pottsville, and Robert C. Reiley, husband of Tricia, of Reading; her daughter, Patricia DiCello, wife of Ray, of Harrisburg; her five grandchildren, Patrice and Will Reiley, Jacqueline and Emily DiCello and Michael Reiley; numerous nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning at 10:00 A.M. in Saint Patricks Church, 4th & Mahantongo Streets, Pottsville. Friends and family may call on Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and also on Friday morning from 8:30 A.M. until 9:30 A.M. at Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., 6th 7 West Market Streets, Pottsville.
