AVOCA-Elizabeth A. Vallet, 50, of Avoca, passed away Wednesday evening at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Soursville, PA on February 21, 1960, she was a daughter of Raymond A. Fluck of Harleysville and the late Margaret (Dudgeon) Fluck, who passed away in 2009. Elizabeth received her Bachelor's Degree from Boston University. She served in the United States Air Force for 13 years, having achieved the rank of Captain. She served in England during Operation Desert Storm. She was employed in the office at Lewith & Freeman Real Estate, Kingston. She was also a registered nurse. She enjoyed walking her dogs and loved to go shopping with her sister. Surviving is her husband of 14 years, Brett W. Vallet; step daughter Brianna Vallet; sister, Margaret A. "Maggie" Fussner and her husband, Larry of Eagle River, Alaska; niece Jacqueline and nephews Bradley and Nicholas. A memorial service will be held Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 728 Main Street, Avoca. Elizabeth's uncle, The Reverend David Dudgeon, will officiate. Friends may call Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Luzerne County SPCA, 524 East Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.
