Elinor M. (Loucks) Lauer

York—Elinor M. (Loucks) Lauer, 83, died Tuesday, October 04, 2011 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home. She was the wife of Ralph L. Lauer Sr. The couple would have celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary October 25th. A Celebration of Life Service will be 6 PM, Thursday, October 6, 2011 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York. A viewing will be held from 5-6 PM, Thursday, at the funeral home. Burial will be 1 PM, Friday, October 7, 2011 at Greenmount Cemetery. Born July 18, 1928 in York, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Luther Loucks. She was a loving homemaker, a member of the Jehovah’s Witness Springdale Congregation and a 1946 graduate of William Penn High School. Mrs. Lauer is survived by three children, Ralph L. Lauer Jr., of York, Susan M. Smith of York and Alan C. Lauer; three grandchildren, Aubrie M. Smith, Chelsea L. Smith and Mitchell Lauer; one brother, James Loucks; two sisters, Marion Loucks and Dorothy Langley and nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Jehovah’s Witness Springdale Congregation, 50 W. Cottage Place, York, Pa 17401.
