Eleanor M. [Shelly] Weinstein

YORK - Eleanor M. [Shelly] Weinstein, 84, died Sunday, June 3, 2007 at Dallastown Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late William Weinstein. A celebration of life service will be 2:00 PM Thursday at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York with Chaplain Roy Stetler, Chaplain at Country Meadows officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Viewings will be from 7-9:00 PM Wednesday and 1-2:00 PM Thursday at the Funeral Chapel. Born December 30, 1922 in York a daughter of the late Edward M. and Daisy May [Bahn] Shelly, she was a 1940 graduate of North York High School. Mrs. Weinstein had worked at the former Wiest Department Store and Doe Spun, Inc. Garment Company. In her early adult years she enjoyed helping her children with their various scouting and school organizations; and more recently loved spending time with her family, cooking, and traveling. Mrs. Weinstein is survived by two daughters, Sandra L. and husband Barry Dietz of Brogue and Sharon K. and husband Curtis Knaub, Sr. of Dallastown; four sons, Michael L. and wife Nancy Weinstein, Chris S. Weinstein, Samuel E. and wife Lisa A. Weinstein, and Bryan D. and wife Elaine Weinstein all of York; 12 grandchildren, Melissa Lee, Don Fullerton, II, Mindy Smith, Todd Morris, Lori Villarreal, Christie Nace, Chad Weinstein, Rachel Dedrick, Madison, Charlotte, Sydney, and Samantha Weinstein; 14 great grandchildren; a brother, Robert Shelly of York; and a sister, Norma Wertz of York.
