Pottsville- Eleanor M. Brown, 83, of Pottsville, passed away Thursday at Manor Care Nursing Home, Pottsville. Born in Philadelphia on May 7, 1930, she was a daughter of Sabato and Anna Marie DiBlasio Ferrizzi Eleanor retired as a cashier for CVS, Cheltenham, Northeast Philadelphia. Eleanor was of the catholic faith. In addition to her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Brown, who passed away in 1972; her sister Rosemarie Eckert; her four brothers, Ralph, Roland, Samuel and Eugene Ferrizzi. Eleanor is survived by her four sisters, Viola Pawslaski, of Philadelphia, Marianne Vassallo, Anna Mancusoand, both of Macungie, PA Dorothy Lanzetta, wife of James, of South Jersey; her two brothers, Vincent Ferrizzi, of Pottsville and Phillip Ferrizzi, husband of Ruth, of Bally, PA; her cat, Tommy; many nieces and nephews, including Diana Kull, wife of Richard, of Pottsville, who was her caretaker for many years. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday morning at 11:00 A.M. at Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Garfield Square, 6th & West Market Streets, Pottsville, PA 17901. Family and friends may call on Wednesday morning from 10:00 A.M. until time of the Memorial service at the funeral home. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Philadelphia. Memorial contributions in Eleanor’s memory may be sent to The American Cancer Society, Schuylkill Unit, 16 North Fourth Street, Minersville, PA 17901.
