Elaine M. Fisher

NEW OXFORD—Elaine M. (Miller) Fisher, 84, passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at The Brethren Home Community—Cross Keys Village. She was the wife of Merle E. Fisher to whom she was married for 63 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be 1:30PM Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York. Officiating the service will be the Rev. Wayne Heberlig. A visitation will be held from 12:30-1:30PM at the funeral home. Burial will be private in Mount Rose Cemetery. Born March 26, 1937 in York, she was a daughter of the late Richard E. and Veletta R. (Bupp) Miller. She was a caring and dedicated homemaker who loved her Lord and family. A member of Otterbein United Methodist Church in Mt. Wolf, she also enjoyed sewing and plastic canvas. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Fisher is also survived by two daughters, Carol Anderson and husband, Jeff of York and Linda Moritz and husband, Bill of Manchester; four grandchildren, Erika, Kari, Jacob and Jenny; ten great grandchildren; one brother, Gene Miller of Manchester; one sister, Shirley McCurdy of Dover and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Stewart Miller.
