Elaine K. (Sipe) Slick

Red Lion—Elaine K. (Sipe) Slick, died Thursday, August 16, 2012 at York Hospital. A Celebration of Life Service will be 7 PM, Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. Officiating the service will be her pastor, the Rev. Amy J. Schultz and Rev. Henry W. Korinth, pastor emeritus at Heidelberg United Church of Christ. A visitation will be held from 5-7 PM, Wednesday, at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Born March 3, 1961 in York, she was a daughter of Janet L. (Wimmer) Sipe and the late Kerwin E. Sipe, Jr. She was a 1979 graduate of West York High School and a member of Heidelberg United Church of Christ in York. She was employed with McDonalds for the past 30 years and currently worked at their Red Lion location as a manager. Elaine is survived by two sons, Garry E. Slick Jr., and Adam F. Slick, both of Red Lion; one sister, Karen M. Howe and her husband, Dan of Dover, nieces and nephews and all “her other kids” that called her mom.
