Elaine J. (Gunnet) Noss

YORK NEW SALEM- Elaine J. (Gunnet) Noss, 80, died Thursday, October 30, 2008 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Charles W. Noss. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11 a.m. on Monday at St. Jacob's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 99 E. George St. in York New Salem. A viewing will be from 10-11 a.m. on Monday at the church. Burial will be in St. Jacob's Union Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Noss was born in York New Salem on December 8, 1927, a daughter of the late Norman and Elva (Hoffman) Gunnet. She retired from People's Bank in Glen Rock, prior to that she worked for the former Western National Bank. Mrs. Noss was a member of St. Jacob's Evangelical Lutheran Church in York New Salem, where she was previously the organist. Mrs. Noss leaves a son, Jan D. Noss of York New Salem and numerous cousins.
