YORK- Edwin P. “Ed” Marlow, 83, of Manchester Township, went to be with the Lord Monday December 8, 2014,two days before the 48th anniversary of his son, Timothy’s home going. He was the husband of Nancy C. (Walker) Marlow. The couple celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary on January 1, 2014. A Celebration of life service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Grace Fellowship, 1405 Seven Valleys Rd. in York, with a visitation from 2-3 p.m. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is assisting with the arrangements. Burial of his ashes will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, PA Mr. Marlow was born in North Wilkesboro, NC on October 14, 1931, the son of the late Joseph P. and Vetra A. (Broyhill) Marlow. He worked in Quality Control for Gichner Shelter Systems in Dallastown before retiring in 1993. Mr. Marlow was a member of Grace Fellowship in York, Shiloh American Legion post 791, West York VFW, Wilkes County Heritage Foundation, and Civil Air Patrol in Baltimore. He also had his private pilot’s license and enjoyed flying. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. Mr. Marlow leaves a son, Kevin J. Marlow and his wife Rachael of Battle Ground, WA, a daughter, Diane C. Fenlason and her husband Brian of Bozeman, MT; seven grandchildren, Victoria, Timothy, Kyle, Samara, Aaron, Aryah, and Asher; and two sisters, Grace Thomas of Jacksonville, FL and Ruth Drake of North Wilkesboro, NC.
