York—Edward T. Gohn, 86, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home. He was the husband of Cleo C. (Snyder) Gohn to whom he was married for 61 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11 AM, Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with his pastor, the Rev. Timothy J. Munson officiating. A viewing will held from 10-11 AM, Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with full military honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Born January 26, 1930 in Red Lion, he was a son of the late Walter and Ruth (Koontz) Gohn. He retired from Caterpillar, Inc., after 23 years of service. A Korean War Veteran, he served in the United States Air Force from July 1951 to July 1955. He loved deer hunting, fishing for flounder in Ocean City, MD and was a member of First Baptist Church of York. Mr. Gohn played baseball in the then Twilight League and also played on the Air Force team. In addition to his wife, Mr. Gohn is also survived by one son, Keith A. Gohn and his wife, Agnes of Lebanon; one grandson, Jordan Edward Gohn of Lebanon; three brothers, Spencer, James and Barry Gohn; two sisters, Patricia Shaull and Gladys Stoltzfus.
