Edward Shimkoski

DUPONT-Edward Shimkoski, 71, of Dupont, died January 19, 2009 at his home. Born in Dupont on June 4, 1937, he was a son of the late John and Anna (Stanish) Shimkoski. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont. Prior to retiring, he was employed by Nelson Brothers Furniture, Kingston. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Joseph. Surviving are his brothers John Shimkoski, Boynton Beach, FL; Robert Shimkoski, Dupont; Stanley Shimkoski, Wilkes-Barre; sisters Mary D'Agosta, Theresa Shimkoski and Rose Pilkonis, all of Dupont; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday from Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 728 Mian Street,Avoca, with a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont.
