Edward R. Britcher

Dover—Edward R. Britcher, 76, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Constance M. (Lau) Britcher to whom he was married for 54 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be 2PM, Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York. Officiating the service will be Rev. Richard Hall of Calvary Baptist Church—York. A visitation will be held from 1-2PM, Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Born August 4, 1941 in York, he was the son of the late Richard E. and Dorothy (Baughman) Britcher. He was employed with Caterpillar for 29 years until his retirement in 1998. A master of all trades, he could fix or build anything, especially for his daughters. He attended Calvary Baptist Church and was a 1960 graduate of York High School. Mr. Britcher is also survived by twin daughters, Belinda L. Brady of Dover and Jennifer M. Britcher of E. York; 4 step siblings; brother-in-law, James Copenheaver and wife, Mimi; sister-in-law, Margaret Greiss and nieces and nephews.
