Edward N. Ketchum

Troy - Edward N. Ketchum, Age 62, of Troy, PA passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Robert Packer Hospital. Edward was born April 1, 1950 son of Newton E. Ketchum and the late Dorothy (Kaiser) Ketchum. Ed was a graduate of Troy High School and served his country from 1967 to 1972 with the US Navy during the Viet Nam War. He was formerly employed at American Silk Label and later was the owner of Troy Sport Shop. He was a member of the Troy Presbyterian Church and enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting. But it was his family especially his grandchildren that were most important to him. Surviving are his long time companion and fiancée’ Joy Jennings of Troy, children, Melissa & Shawn Field of Elmira, NY, Ian & Peggy Ketchum of Pine City, NY, Robert & Jessica Ketchum of Elmira, NY and Valerie Lynn Ketchum of Elmira, NY, ten grandchildren, Alexis, Andrew, Paige, Allison, Kaitlynn, Aimee, Mariah, Jeremiah, Hayden, Ava Lynn, two sisters, Nancy & Tom Byrd of South Carolina, Donna & Gary Apiag of Virginia, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Ed was predeceased by his mother Dorothy (Kaiser) Ketchum. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, January 5, 2013 from 1 to 2 PM at the Gerald W. Vickery Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street, Troy, PA. Ed’s funeral and committal service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 2 P M with Pastor Bill Bardo officiating.
