TROY- On Sunday, October 9, 2011 Edward Michael “Ozzie” Osgood, 55, of Gillett, PA began taking his walks in Heaven with his Savior Jesus Christ. He was the loving husband of Anita (Morgan) Osgood. The couple married July 16, 1977 and had 34 happy years together. Family and friends are welcome to call from 1:00-4:00 PM on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at the Gillett Baptist Church, 33275 Rt. 14 Gillett, PA. The funeral service to honor Ozzie’s life will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, October 15th at the church with his pastor, Rev. Allen Goss, officiating. Burial will follow the service in Gillett Cemetery. The Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street Troy, PA has been entrusted with the arrangements. Ozzie was born on December 8, 1955 in Elmira, NY, son of the late David F. and Mary (Rutzke) Osgood. He was a Machine Operator for FM Howell in Elmira, NY and attended the Gillett Baptist Church. Ozzie was well known in Gillett for the walks he took and him being an avid Baltimore Orioles fan. He also loved music, jukeboxes, and dancing; and was locally famous for his Frankenstein Monster Mash dance he did around Halloween. Ozzie is survived by his wife Anita, his sons: Jay (Teresa) White of Athens, PA, Morgan (Sherry) White of Columbia Cross Roads, PA, Bruce Jon (Colleen) Kelley of Austinville, PA, and Ozzie Paul (Angie) Osgood of Gillett, PA, his 21 grandchildren, his great granddaughter, his sister Diane Harshberger, and his Godson Charlie (Katie) Harshberger. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Ozzie’s memory to the Gillett Baptist Church, PO Box 2, 33241 Rt. 14, Gillett, PA 16925.
