RENOVO - Edward Louis Boeding, passed away Saturday February 1, 2014 at the age of 81 at Bucktail Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born on April 21, 1932 in Chamberlin, South Dakota to the Aloyisus and Nina (Rogers) Boeding. Edward graduated from Chamberlin High of Chamberlin, South Dakota in 1951. Edward was a veteran of the U.S Navy serving four years, later retiring from the Navy Reserves, in Syracuse NY. On July 5, 1958 he married Violet M. Stevenson at St. Patrick's Church in Watertown, NY. Edward worked as a mechanic for Speno Railroad in East Syracuse, NY and later retired in 1996. He was a active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Renovo, PA. Ed was also a member of the American Legion. Edward was a devoting husband and loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. In addition to his parents Edward was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Boeding of Rolla, MI and his half brother, Robert Rogers of Deadwood, SD. He will be missed dearly by his surviving family which includes his wife; Violet M. Boeding of Renovo, PA, brothers; Donald (Alice) Boeding of Mesa, AZ, Larry Boeding of Rapid City, SD, sister; Annamarie (Gary) Swanson of Huron, SD, sons; Edward Boeding Jr of Canastota, NY, Richard Boeding of Canastota, NY, Robert Boeding of Wilkes Barry, PA, daughter; Susan Boeding of East Syracuse, NY, grandchildren; Kimberly Boeding of Canastota, NY, Krystle (Donald) Carr of Fayetteville, NY, Robert Worden Jr of East Syracuse, NY and Tiffany Worden of East Syracuse, NY, great grandchildren; James Carr and great granddaughter to be 'Cupcake' of Fayetteville, NY, also numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 925 Huron Ave., Renovo with the Rev. Charles Ugo officiating. Friends and relatives will be received at the church one hour prior to the mass. Interment will be at North Bend Cemetery with military honors. Maxwell Funeral Home, Renovo has charge of arrangements.
