Edward Keese

POTTSVILLE- Edward Keese, 70, of Reedsville, passed away Thursday morning at his home. Ed was born in Lansdale, PA on March 15, 1939. He was a son of the late Norman A. and Ella Myrtle Smith Keese. Ed graduated from the school of hard knocks. He worked for George Tripp Operating Engineeres, Chalfont, PA until 1977. He was owner and operator of Ed's USA Auto Rental, Ed's U-Store it and HD Motors, all of Pottsville, for 32 years. He was a member of the 7 Stars Club. In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy J. Mundy, who passed away in July of 2009. Ed is survived by his wife, Diane E. Brahler Keese, Reedsville; his daughter, Tracey Fenstermacher, wife of Christian, of Pottsville; stepdaughter, Jennifer L. Killian, wife of Bobby, of Pottsville; his daughters, Sharon Trump, of Allentown and Kim Hemperly, of California; his stepson, Jeffrey Davis, of Pottsville; his grandchildren, Tanner Fenstermacher, Chase Fenstermacher and Allison Beers; his sister, Mary Annette Knitter, of Spring Grove, PA; several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning at 10:30 A.M. at St. John the Baptist Church, 10th & Mahantongo Sts., Pottsville. Monsignor William Glosser will officiate. Family and friends may call on Sunday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and also on Monday morning from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. at Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., 6th 7 West Market Streets, Pottsville. Interment will be held in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Pottsville. Memorial contributions in Ed's memory can be sent Hillside SPCA, SPCA Road, Pottsville, PA 17901.
