Edward J. Lonski, Sr.

LEWISBERRY - Edward J. Lonski, Sr., 85, died Friday, May 18, 2007 at Holy Spirit Hospital. He was the husband of Margaret [Saathof] Lonski. Funeral services and burial will be private. Beaver Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 West Front Street, Lewisberry is in charge of arrangements. Born June 4, 1921 in Chicago, IL a son of the late John Lonski, he had worked for V. Mueller Co. and the US Postal Service in Chicago. While living in Chicago, Mr. Lonski was active with the Moose and Elks Lodges and the Catholic Church. He was an avid Cubs baseball fan and enjoyed dancing. He was a US Army veteran of WWII where he earned numerous valor medals including a Purple Heart. In addition to his wife, Mr. Lonski is survived by two sons, Edward J. Lonski, Jr. of Lewisberry and Larry Lonski of Wilton, CA; a daughter, Karen Wezlaff of Chicago; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marsha Weigle.
