Edward J. Leibig Edward J. Leibig, 83, formerly of Arch Street, Pottsville, died Tuesday evening at the York Terrace Nursing Home, Pottsville. Born in Lost Creek, June 23, 1923, the son of the late Frank and Helen (Gilroy) Leibig. He graduated from Pottsville Catholic High School. Mr. Leibig worked for the former Atena Steel, Pottsville, H.& L. Miller & Son, and Pottsville Bleach & Dye, both of Port Carbon, PA. Mr. Leibig was a member of Saint Patrick Church, Knights of Columbus, a past-commander of the American Legion Post 67, Pottsville Catholic War Veterans, A.O.H. the Joint Veterans Council, all of Pottsville, and the former 40/8. Mr. Leibig is preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth (Davis) Leibig, a brother Charles Leibig, and a sister Dorothy Begansky. Surviving is a daughter Ann Terleskas, wife of David, Pottsville, and three nephews Charles Beganshy, husband of Linda, Pottsville, John Begansky, New York, Charlie Davis, husband of Cheryl, Ventura, CA. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:30, on Saturday at Saint Patrick Church, Pottsville. There will be no calling hours Friday evening. Friends may call at the Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc. on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. till 12:00 P.M. Entombment with military honors will be at Calvary Cemetery. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions to be made to the Joint Veteran's Council, 14 North Third Street, Pottsville, PA 17901
