Edward J. Albright, 87, died on Friday, January 22, 2021 at Holy Spirit Hospital. He was the husband of Doris A. (Sweitzer) Albright who died on August 17, 2018. The couple had been married for 63 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be livestreamed at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 on the Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc. Facebook page at facebook.com/olewilertributes. A public graveside service will be held at 2:30p.m. on Wednesday at Mt. Rose Cemetery, 1502 Mt. Rose Ave., York with full military honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. A funeral cortege will gather at the entrance of the cemetery at 2:15 p.m. Born on June 12, 1933 in York, he was the son of the late Edward C. and Hilda (Rhine) Albright. Edward began his career at Buchart Horn and then pursued his dream of designing and building custom homes with Towne and Country Builders, Albright and Hall Builders and finally as president of Albright Builders. Mr. Albright served our country in the United States Marine Corps for four years during the Korean War. He played, coached and sponsored teams in the York Softball League and was also the Treasurer of the Central York County Baseball League. Edward was a member of the York County Builders Association. He enjoyed trout fishing, hunting, NASCAR and was an avid Penn State Football fan, traveling to the games for 35 years. Mr. Albright is survived by two sons, Steve Albright and his wife, Mona of York and Alan Albright and his wife, Luanne of Raleigh, NC; six grandchildren, Montie Royer and her husband, Derek, Kyle Albright and his wife, Jess, Tristyn Albright, Elizabeth Albright, Brittany Albright and Macy Albright; five great grandchildren, Colton Royer, Beckett Royer, Sterling Royer, Lila Albright and Levi Albright; and his uncle, Bob Rhine of York. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Country Meadows Co-Workers Foundation, 830 Cherry Drive, Hershey, PA 17033 or Keystone Pet Enhanced Therapy Services, 2120 Oregon Pike 2nd floor, Lancaster, PA 17601.
