Edward F. "Eddie" Sears, Iv

YORK NEW SALEM- Edward “Eddie” F. Sears, IV, 41, passed away Friday, December 17, 2021 at UPMC Memorial Hospital in York. He was the cherished husband of Alyssa A. (Rosevear) Sears. The couple celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary on September 3, 2021, but were together and inseparable, for 26 years. Eddie was born in Troy, NY on October 5, 1980, the son of Edward F. Sears, III and his wife Martha of Malta, NY and the late Karen M. (Carroll) Sears. He was a truck driver for McConnell Transportation in Airville. Eddie was a devoted father and leaves behind his son, Jacob E. Sears (15); and daughter, Zoey A. Sears (5), whom were both the light of his life and center of his world. Eddie also leaves behind two brothers, James Sears and his significant other, Melissa Jochum of Waterford, NY and Christopher Sears and his wife Laurie of Ballston Spa, NY; and three sisters, Alanna Mount and her husband Tony of Wilton, NY, Julia Sears of Ballston Spa, NY, and Sarah Sears of Ballston Spa, NY. He also leaves his grandmother, Barbara Sears; grandfather, Jim Carroll; mother-in-law, Margaret Rosevear; brother-in-law, Casey Rosevear and his significant other, Becky Wilkinson; and his sister-in-law, Rebecca Brommel and her husband David. Eddie also leaves behind many aunts and uncles, and nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved deeply. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Rena Carroll, grandfather, Edward Sears, II, and father-in-law, Calvin Rosevear. Originally from Saratoga Springs, NY, Eddie met his wife, Alyssa, in junior high school. They built a bond like no other, and one that endured all that came their way throughout the next 26 years. Eddie found his way to a career in commercial transportation and logistics, that he genuinely loved and spent the last 10 years of his life proudly doing. Driving commercial trucks gave him the opportunity to see 46 states and experience so many memories, while being able to provide for his family. Eddie’s career led him to gather his family and move to Pennsylvania 5 years ago, to embark on the next chapter in their lives. Eddie made new connections in Pennsylvania, which turned into valued friendships, and some even became part of the “family”. Eddie’s most valued priorities in his life always included his children and wife, spending the only time he was home, with his children, as a family. This was always his most precious time spent. He was strong and gentle, quietly funny, a devoted family man and a genuine friend. He was a provider and protector, and was willing to help anyone if he could. Eddie’s passing will leave an endless heartache and a void for his family and so many others, more than he would have thought. His Life, will leave endless memories for all who were blessed enough to get to know him. Services will be private. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York is assisting the family with the arrangements. Send condolences at HeffnerCare.com CLICK HERE TO SEND FLOWERS
