Edward C. Grace

York—Edward C. Grace, 86, died Thursday, February 16, 2012 at his son’s residence in Huntington Beach, CA. He was the husband of the late Doris E. (Fackler) Grace. A Graveside Service will be 12 PM, Friday, February 24, 2012 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery – Loganville, with full military honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. A viewing will be held from 6-8 PM, Thursday, February 23rd at Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. Born May 17, 1925 in York, he was a son of the late Cecil J. and Edna (Holtzapple) Grace. He was employed with York Saw and Machine for 40 years and retired in 1996 as a Supervisor. A United State Army Veteran of World War II, he was also a member of Living Word Church and the W. York V.F.W. – Post 8951. Mr. Grace is survived by four sons, Jeffrey E. Grace and his wife, Sonja of Dover, Mark T. Grace and his wife, Mona of Huntington Beach, CA, David W. Grace and his wife, Betsy of York and William J. Grace and his wife, Faye of Fredericksburg, VA; one daughter, Cecila A. Myers of York New Salem; 12 grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Grace, one sister, Delores Hollenbaugh and baby daughter, Linda E. Grace.
