Edward C. 'Eddie' Pelton, Jr.

JERSEY SHORE - Edward C. “Eddie” Pelton, Jr., 84, died on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Manor Care, Jersey Shore. Edward was married on November 4, 1954 to the former Anna M. Simcox who survives and has celebrated 58 years of marriage. Edward was born on November 4, 1928 in Snow Shoe and was the son of the late Edward C. and Myrtle J. (Johnson) Pelton, Sr. He had worked for Avis America, formerly Capital. He enjoyed antiques and working on cars. In addition to his wife, Anna, he is survived by one son; Corey E. Pelton of Jersey Shore, five daughters; Trudy Bailey of Linden, Tammey Hamilton of Texas, Tracey Willets of Lock Haven, Arleen Marshall of Selona and Tonya Bertin of Jersey Shore, 18 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, one brother; Richard Pelton of Lock Haven, four sisters; Mary Morton, Betty Cummings, Alice Sweets and Ada Probst, all of Renovo and two special grandchildren he raised; Chandra Pelton and Cheyenne Pelton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter; Anna Marie Stephens, two brothers; Clarence and Harold Pelton and one sister; Ellen Brennan. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall.
