Edna M. (Raub) Jones

TROY- Edna M. (Raub) Jones, 72, of Troy, PA went home to be with her Lord on Friday, September 21, 2007 at the Robert Packer Hospital surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of Robert L. Jones to whom she married on January 31, 1958. The couple had 49 happy years together. Family and friends are welcome to call from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM on Monday, September 24, 2007 at the 1st Baptist Church of Troy, 162 Canton Street, Troy, PA. The funeral service to honor Edna's life will be held after the visitation at 1:30 PM on Monday, September 24th at the church with her pastor and friend, Rev. Garry Zuber officiating. Burial will follow the service in Beech Flats Cemetery. The Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 110 West Main Street, Troy, PA, has been entrusted with the arrangements. Edna was born on October 18, 1934 in Wheelerville, PA. She was the daughter of the late John Preston and Helen May (Laninger) Raub. Edna was a Troy High School graduate, Class of 1953. For 46 years Edna was the office manager for the Troy Agway. She was also a 56-year member of the 1st Baptist Church in Troy, and served for many years as Church Treasurer. Edna was a member of the Baptist Woman Association at the church, was a member of A.B.W., and was once awarded the Business Woman of the Year Award by the Business and Professional Women of Troy. To Edna, family was everything. Her family includes her husband Robert, her sons: Michael Robert (Shelley) Jones of Elmira, NY, and Gregory Scott (Sandi) Jones of Troy, PA, her daughters: Rhonda L. (John) Raub Billmeyer of Bath NY, and Barbara L. Welch and her fianc矐hil Williams of Kane, PA, her grandchildren: Shondra Billmeyer and fianc矒ich Powell, Bridget Jones, Joshua Jones, Ryan Jones, Jenna Jones, Chelsi Welch, Mason Jones, and Makenzie Jones, her great granddaughter Alexsandra Powell, her brother Larry Raub, her sisters: Irma Morgan and Doris Kingsley, along with several nieces and nephews. Her parents and her brother James Raub preceded Edna in death. In lieu contributions may be made in Edna's memory to the 1st Baptist Church of Troy, 162 Canton Street, Troy, PA 16947.
