Edna L. Holmes) Simcox

LOCK HAVEN - Edna L. (Holmes) Simcox, 93, passed on to the Lord on Sunday, March 17, 2013. She was currently a resident of Susque-View Nursing Home, Lock Haven, formerly living in McElhattan most of her life. Born September 24, 1919 in Lock Haven she was the daughter of Edward J. and Ida (Aaron) Holmes. She and her late husband, William H. Simcox, Sr., were married on September 7, 1933 in West Virginia. They were happily married for 57 years. In her early-married years she worked on the family farm and was always a devoted homemaker for her family. She enjoyed working in her yard, going to yard sales and working on her word search books. She is survived by a daughter Isabelle (Liz) Wolford of Park Ave., Lock Haven, 9 grandchildren 24 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is survived by her faithful dog, Baby, who now lives with her granddaughter. In addition to her husband “Bill” two daughters, Edna Louise and Dorothy Stabley; a son William, Jr. a brother Edward Holmes and 3 sisters, Ida Weigle, June Hoffman, and Mae Kemmerer, predeceased her. The funeral services will be private for the family. Interment will be private at Quiggle Cemetery.
