Edmund Lee Hillegass

SEVEN VALLEYS- Edmund Lee Hillegass, 61, died on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Hospice & Community Care in Mt. Joy. A celebration of life tribute will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc.,1551 Kenneth Rd., York, with Certified Celebrant Jessica R. Smith officiating. A visitation will be from 5-6 p.m. prior to the service. Born on September 28, 1953 in Bedford, he was a son of the late Edmund and Willa Mae (Logsdon) Hillegass. Edmund worked for Harley Davidson for 16 years and then owned and operated Keystone Performance Cycles for 12 years. Mr. Hillegass was a life member of the York County Harley Davidson Owner’s Association and an associate member of Reading Motorcycle Club. Mr. Hillegass is survived by his daughter, Stacy Mentzer of Lancaster; two grandchildren, Cody Zink and Kailen Fritz; and one brother, Richard E. Hillegass. He was preceded in death by one brother, John Hillegass. Memorial contributions may be made to Dr. Alex Olivi for neurosurgical research at Johns Hopkins.
