Edmund A. "Ozzie" Osborne

HUNTINGDON- Edmund A. “Ozzie” Osborne, 96, died on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Family Hospice and Palliative Care in Pittsburgh. He was the loving husband of his high school sweetheart, the late Helen V. (Reich) Osborne, to whom he was married for 74 years. Services for Mr. Osborne are private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York, PA is in charge of arrangements. Born on May 22, 1920 in Middleton, OH, he was the son of the late Faries and Helen (Haller) Osborne. Edmund was a plant manager for Standard Register in York, Bedford and Burlington, VT for over 46 years. Mr. Osborne served our country in the U.S. Army Air Force during WWII. He was the former President of Porter Medical Center in Middlebury, VT. Mr. Osborne is survived by one son, Dr. Larry Osborne of Portland, OR; two daughters, Louise Goldstein and her husband, Peter of Huntingdon and Patricia Gibbs and her husband, Ron of York; four grandchildren, Nathaniel Osborne, Edmund Bates, Beth Nixdorf and Laura Gibbs; and two great grandchildren, Colin & Connor Nixdorf.
