Edith M. Peterson

WILLIAMSPORT - Edith M. Peterson, 68, died on Friday, December 16, 2011 at The Williamsport Home. Edith was born on March 26, 1943 in Wellsville, NY and was the daughter of the late Forrest E. and Alice Mae (Short) Peterson. Edith enjoyed reading, watching football and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving are; one son and daughter-in-law; James L. “Jim” and Michele Peterson, Sr. of Williamsport, three grandchildren; James L. Peterson, Jr., Marissa M. Peterson and Myeesha M. Peterson, all of Williamsport, two great-grandchildren; Marionnah D. and Xhavier J. Peterson, three brothers; William Peterson, Robert Peterson and John Peterson, all of Williamsport and two sisters and one brother-in-law; Bonnita Peterson of Elkland and Betty and James Hazel of Williamsport. In addition to her parents, Edith was preceded in death by one brother; Gary Peterson and two sisters; Grace Peterson and Rosemary Peterson. In keeping with Edith’s wishes, services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Gatehouse at Divine Providence Hospital, 1100 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701. Arrangements are being handled by the Allen and Redmond Funeral Home, 331 Elmira St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
