Edith M. (Gracey) Diehl Fisher

YORK - Edith M. (Gracey) Diehl Fisher, 90, of York Township, died Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Lester H. Diehl. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at St. John’s Blymire’s United Church of Christ, 1009 South Blymire Rd. in Dallastown, with a viewing from 10-11 a.m. Her pastor, The Reverend Curtis R. Weber will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens in York. Mrs. Fisher was born in York on March 11, 1922, daughter of the late Gilbert and Emma H. (Swartz) Gracey. She retired from Danskin in York and then worked as a home health care worker for Special Touch. Mrs. Fisher was a member of St. John’s Blymire’s United Church of Christ in Dallastown, White Rose Square Dancers for 25 years, Red Lion American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, York Moose Lodge, and Viking Athletic Club. She was an avid bird lover and enjoyed an extensive collection of bird memorabilia. Mrs. Fisher leaves two sons, Charles W. Diehl of Felton and Robert L. Diehl of Dallastown; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
