JACOBUS- Edith L. (Steele) Robertson, 91, formerly of Salisbury, PA, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2014 at Barbara J. Egan Nursing Center in Shrewsbury. She was the wife of the late Clyde C. “Buzz” Robertson. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a viewing from 6-7 p.m. Her pastor, The Reverend E. Gordon Ross will be officiating at the service. A graveside committal service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 8, 2014 at Yellow Creek Cemetery in Hopewell, PA. Edith was born in Sherman’s Valley, Bedford County, PA on February 6, 1923. She was the daughter of the late Marshall and Jane (Lowery) Steele. She was the last of 14 brothers and sisters to pass. She retired from the American Red Cross in 1972 and was a member of St. John’s (Sadler’s) Lutheran Church in Stewartstown. Mrs. Robertson leaves two sons, Richard L. Robertson and his wife Gail of Abbottstown and Don E. Robertson of Jacobus; three grandchildren, James Robertson and his wife Mamie of Abbottstown, Dawn Sizer and her husband David of Boiling Springs, and Jerry Robertson and his wife Kenndia of Manchester; and five great grandchildren, Adam Robertson and his wife Danielle, Christa Walls and her husband Sherman, III; Connor Sizer, Logan Sizer, and Miya Robertson. She was preceded in death by a son, Fredrick W. Robertson. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s (Sadler’s) Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 189, Stewartstown, PA 17363.
