GOLDSBORO – Edison L. Leach, Jr., 62, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was the husband of Carol A. (Keckler) Leach to whom he was married for 35 years. Funeral services and burial will be private in Tri County Memorial Gardens with Full Military Rites provided by York County Veterans Honor Guard. Beaver Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 West Front Street, Lewisberry is in charge of arrangements. Born December 23, 1948 in Harrisburg, a son of the late Dorothy (Chubb) and Edison Leach, Sr., he was a graduate of Cedar Cliff High School. Mr. Leach had been a truck driver for Estes Express Lines. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and wood carving. Mr. Leach was a US Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War where he earned numerous combat medals including the Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm. In addition to his wife, Mr. Leach is survived by three sons, Michael L. Leach of Goldsboro, Shawn D. and wife Louise Leach of Palmyra, and Brian C. Leach of Goldsboro; two grandchildren, Matthew and Benjamin; a brother, Mark Leach of Camp Hill; one aunt; and cousins.
