RED LION - Ed Miller, 59, passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2010 as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was the husband of Connie E. Miller to whom he was married for 31 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 8:00 PM Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with The Rev. Stephanie S. Sechrist, a retired United Methodist pastor and The Rev. Troy Harrold, pastor of Adamsville Yoe Charge of the U.M. Church officiating. A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 PM Tuesday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with full military rites provided by York County Veterans Honor Guard. Friends and family will meet at the entrance of Susquehanna Memorial Gardens at 9:45 AM Wednesday. Born November 12, 1950 a son of Nancy Jane (Nichols) Miller of Dallastown and the late Edward Miller, he was a graduate of York Vo-Tech and had attended truck driving school. Mr. Miller was the owner of Ed Miller Enterprises, Inc., and served the trucking needs of York county businesses for 28 years. Prior to operating his own business, Ed had worked for Conrail. He was a member of Veterans of the Vietnam War, Post 35; and as a certified SCUBA diver enjoyed many diving adventures. He was a US Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War. In addition to his wife, Ed is survived by a son, Troy E. and wife Judy Miller of York; a daughter, Heather E. Miller of Red Lion; four grandchildren, Nick, Luke, Cameron, and Kollin; a brother, Robert B. Miller of Dallastown; two sisters, Marene L. and husband Gerry Page and Nancy Y. McWilliams both of Dallastown; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Hope Fae Miller.
