Earl P. Zinn

YORK- Earl Paul Zinn, 67, of North Codorus Township, passed away Sunday, October 7, 2018 at his residence. He was the husband of Kay Romaine (Scheivert) Zinn. The couple celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on May 25, 2018. A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a viewing from 1-2 p.m. His pastor, The Reverend Lisa A. Hair will be officiating at the service. Mr. Zinn was born in Hanover on July 19, 1951, the son of the late Earl R. and Elizabeth C. (Barnhart) Zinn. He was the owner and operator of the former E & K Repair Service, Inc in York. Prior to that he worked for Y.P. Products, which later became RG Industries. Mr. Zinn was a member of St. Jacob’s Lutheran Church in York New Salem. He was a 1971 graduate of New Oxford High School. He was a member of sons of the American Legion in Pleasureville and Future Farmers of America. He was a life member of the NRA. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending time at his cabin. He enjoyed traveling to the beach in his younger years. He was passionate about his business. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father and especially enjoyed time with his grandchildren. Mr. Zinn leaves two daughters, Kristina (Zinn) Harner and her husband Nathan of Spring Grove and Rebecca Zinn of York; a son, Carey Anderson of York and a special daughter-in-law, Jessica Fields of Biglerville; four grandchildren, Ayvah, Maverick, Matthew, and Jose; a sister, Susan Day and her husband William of Dagwood, DE; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Zinn of North Carolina; as well as nieces and nephews.
