Earl Leroy Williams

East Berlin- Earl Leroy Williams, 69, of Washington Township, died Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Lancaster General Hospital. He was the husband of Barbara J. (Messinger) Williams. The couple celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary on February 3, 2014. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York. Pastor Greg Wahlberg will be officiating at the service. Viewings will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday and 9-10 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Suburban Memorial Gardens in Dover. Earl was born in York County on October 20, 1945, the son of the late Russell E. and Elsie L. (Hollinger) Williams. He retired from AWI in Robesonia and then worked part time for Rogers Tree Service in Dover. He was a member of the Wellsville Frontier Days, Inc. and served in the US Army National Guard attaining the rank of Sergeant. Along with his wife he leaves his daughter, Sherry L. Weir and her husband Timothy of East Berlin; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a brother, Sterling E. Williams of York; a sister, Leona M. Smith of Dover; and nieces and nephews.
