Earl C. 'Dick' Williams

WILLIAMSPORT - Earl C. “Dick” Williams, 85, died Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at The Gate House, Williamsport. He was born May 29, 1927 and was the son of the late Thomas D. and Ethel (Gilbert) Williams. Earl served in the United States Army, and he married the former Elizabeth I. “Betsy” (Wagoner), August 29, 1959 in which they celebrated 53 years of marriage. He enjoyed restoring old broncos, hunting and was a member of the Red Run Rod and Gun club. He was also an avid sports fan in which he liked watching Nascar racing, watching the Phillies and Penn State football. In addition to his wife Betsy, Earl is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law; Cynthia A. and John H. Barrett of Lock Haven, Donna L. Weinhardt of Williamsport and Pamela M. and Joseph Campana of New Smyrna Beach, FL, one step daughter and step son-in-law; Robin and Michael Matthew of Williamsport, seven grandchildren, two step grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, four step great grandchildren, one great great grandson and one sister; Maxine Share, of NY along with numerous nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Earl was preceded in death by one son; Michael Williams and one sister; Shirley Tagliaboski. A gathering of family and friends will take place 11:00a.m. – 1:00p.m., Monday, December 17, 2012, at the family’s residence, 1630 Log Run Road, Williamsport, PA 17701. All other services will be held at the family’s convenience. In lieu of flowers, one may send donations to The Gate House, 1100 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701 Arrangements are being handled by the Allen and Redmond Funeral Home, 331 Elmira Street, Williamsport.
