TROY- E. Neal Mack, 94, of Fallbrook Road, Troy, PA passed away Thursday, December 4, 2008 at the Bradford County Manor. He was the loving husband of the late Carolyn E. (Smart) Mack who passed away on January 22, 2001. Family and friends are welcome to gather from 9:00-10:00 AM on Monday, December 8, 2008 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 110 W. Main Street, Troy, PA. The funeral service to honor Neal's life will be held at 10:00 on Monday, December 8th at the funeral home with Rev. Garry Zuber officiating. Burial will follow the service in Wellsboro Cemetery, Wellsboro, PA. Neal was born on September 1, 1914 in Wellsboro, PA, the son of the late Everett W. and May (Smith) Mack. He was a graduate of Wellsboro High School and also Penn State University. Neal was a teacher for the Troy Area School District for over thirty years, teaching agriculture, shop and science at Troy High School. For many years he was manager of the Troy Fair, was a track official for the Pennsylvania Harness Racing Commission, and was a member of the Pennsylvania Association of County Fairs for over 30 years. He was a member of the Troy Lions Club, and loved spending time at his camp along Pine Creek in Tioga County. Neal is survived by his son Alfred N. (Kathryn C.) Mack of Corning, NY, his grandchildren; Andrew Neal (Logan) Mack of Fulton, NY, and Jessica (Florian) Zink of Pittsburgh, PA, along with two nephews. Neal is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Carolyn, and his brother Richard Mack. Contributions may be made in Neal's memory to the Troy Area School District Foundation, 310 Elmira St., Troy, PA 16947 or to the charity of one's own choosing.
