Douglas F. Middleton

BROGUE- Douglas F. Middleton, 77, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at his residence. He was the husband of Darlene Mae (Minck) Middleton, to whom he was married to for 32 years. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at The Barn, 267 Middle River Road, Brogue, PA. Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Drive, Red Lion, is in charge of arrangements. Born on February 8, 1936 in Luray, VA, he was the son of the late James Middleton and Tressie (Nauman) Miller. Douglas was a foreman for Asplundh Tree Expert Company until his retirement. Mr. Middleton was an avid hunter and loved traveling out west. “Pap Booger” enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Along with his wife, Darlene, Mr. Middleton is survived by two sons, Jeff Middleton and his wife, Elaine of Lewisberry and Shane Middleton and his wife, Rene of Dover; three step sons, Robert Lightner, Jr. and his wife, Connie of Brogue, Daniel Lightner and his wife, Sharon of Manchester, and James Lightner of Brogue; five step daughters, Tafilynn Haugh and her husband, Roger of Manchester, Melreha Sechrist and her husband, Keith of Red Lion, Katrina Linehart and her husband, Tony of New Bridgeville, Dorinda Fisher and her husband, Nevin of Brogue, and Tina Campbell and her husband, Jeffrey of Red Lion; 17 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; a sister Francis Smith and her husband, Carson of Dover; and numerous nieces and nephews.
