Douglas D. Mueller, 87, passed away Monday, September 24, 2018 at his home. He was the husband of Juanell (Evans) Mueller to whom he was married for 62 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 13, 2018 at St. John Lutheran Church, 2580 Mt. Rose Avenue, York with his pastor, The Rev. Tab E. Cosgrove officiating. Military honors will be presented by York County Veterans Honor Guard. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM at the Church. Private burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Born November 5, 1930 in Medford, Wisconsin a son of the late Paul Mueller and Gertrude (Brede) Grambow, he had worked at McCrory Dist. Center for 45 years having worked his way from stock boy to Executive Buyer. He later owned and operated DDM Merchandising from which he retired. Mr. Mueller was an active member and elder at St. John Lutheran Church. He was a Staff Sergeant in the US Air Force during The Korean War. In addition to his wife, Mr. Mueller is survived by two sons, Scott Mueller and fiancée Shanga Shahswar of York, and Mark Mueller of York; 10 grandchildren, Mark Mueller, Brandon Mueller, Anna (Mueller) Roberts, Matthew Mueller, Andrew Mueller, James Mueller, Angela Zerphy, Madison Mueller, Nathaniel Mueller, Ethan Mueller; 4 great grandchildren, Anthony Savage, Ashlyn Mueller, Luke Roberts, Grace Roberts; 2 Cousins, Penny (Bedont) McLaughlin of Sandy, Utah, and Jeff Bedont of Salt Lake City, Utah; 1 Niece, Gina (Grambow) Pankratz and her husband Mike Pankratz of Marshfield, Wisconsin; 2 Nephews, Steven Grambow of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and Devan Evans of Sacramento, California; 1 brother-in-law, Evans A. Evans of Sacramento, California; 1 great-nephew, Jordan Michael Pankratz of Marshfield, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his step parents, Marge Mueller and Edward Grambow of Marshfield, Wisconsin, his half-brother Lanny Grambow of Marshfield, Wisconsin, and his great-grandchild Whitley Moats of York.
