Dorsey L. Bibey, Sr.

North Bend - Dorsey L. Bibey Sr., age 69, died at his residence on Sunday, August 24, 2008. He was born in Belington, W.Va. on Nov. 9, 1938, son of the late Maurice and Fronna (Rowe) Bibey. He worked at Piper Aircraft for 18 years, retired as a millwright from International Paper Co., and worked for several years at the Family Dollar Store in Renovo. Dorsey was Methodist by faith, served his country in the U.S. Air Force, was a member of the Sons of Italy, Renovo American Legion, was a life member of the Fraternal Order of Elks, Sinnemahoning Sportsman's Club, and the Western Clinton County Sportsman's Club. He attended classes at International Paper to receive his millwright certification, was an avid softball player, loved playing pool, horseshoes, bowling, and ping-pong. His greatest fun was going to yard sales to check them out. Dorsey was married on Aug 26, 1989 to Patricia "Pat" Crossley who survives. Also surviving are his sons: Richard (Cindy) Bibey of Omaha, Nebraska, Randy (Kim) Bibey of Renovo, Dorsey "Butch" Bibey Jr. of State College, and stepson: Joe (Julie) Eggler of Scottsdale, Arizona, daughter: Jolene (Dean) Johnson of Quakertown, and Lisa (Rodney) Martinez of Coatsville, Pa. Other survivors are grandchildren: Holly Johnson, Joshua and Zachary Eggler and Randy Bibey Jr., brothers: Robert Bibey of Pittsburgh, Leon Bibey of Belington, W.Va., Fred Bibey of Ohio, Lawrence Bibey of Pompano Beach, Fla, and sister: Katherine Waggoner of Belington. W.Va, and several nieces and nephews, and his special Pet: Missy Bibey. Dorsey was preceded by a brother: Kenny. Funeral services will be held at the Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth St. Renovo at 11:00 a.m. Thursday with Mrs. Martha Sykes officiating. Interment will follow in North Bend Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday evening. Military services will be held at the graveside.
