RED LION - Dorothy R. (Dietz) Lehman, 81, passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at York Hospital. She was the wife of Nevin S. Lehman to whom she was married for 61 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, May 2, 2010 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 45 First Avenue, Red Lion with her pastor, The Rev. Dr. Charles W. Salisbury officiating. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Born September 23, 1928 in East Prospect, a daughter of the late Perry E. and Mae E. (Ritz) Dietz, she graduated from Red Lion High School in 1946. Mrs. Lehman retired from Red Lion Area School District in 1990 and had previously worked for McCrory's Distribution Co. and Yorktowne Kitchens. She was a member of St. Paul's U.M. Church; had volunteered at Manor Care - Dallastown; served on York County Election Board; and loved to read, crochet, and complete puzzles. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Lehman is survived by a daughter, Jeanne C. and husband Dennis Burke of York; two grandchildren, Todd Burke and Kimberly and husband Richard Shaw; four great grandchildren, Zachary, Dalton, Dakota, and Marlee; and aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles E. Dietz.
