Dorothy M. (Diehl) Hoffman

MILTON - Dorothy M. (Diehl) Hoffman, 95, died Friday, January 4, 2013 at Kramm Health and Rehab, Milton. She was born on March 12, 1917 in Northumberland and was the daughter of the late Charles and Laura (Farnsworth) Diehl. She was a Northumberland High School Graduate. She married the late Lee C. Hoffman on June 25, 1937, in which they celebrated 48 years of marriage until his death on September 8, 1985. Dorothy was a member of the West Milton United Methodist Church and she enjoyed sewing for all her friends and family. She is survived by one son; Dr. James L. Hoffman, of Springfield VA, two daughters; Laura R. Weir of Milton and Pamela A. “Pam” Tareco of Milton, three granddaughters; Angela Boswell and husband John of Carlisle, Trisha Zimmerman and companion Kevin Byrnes of Rochester, NY and Christine Weir and husband Michael Gilvary of Pasadena, CA and five great grandsons; Zachary, Justin, Cormac, Ryan and Luke. Along with her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by five brothers and six sisters. A special thanks goes out to the staff at Kramm Health and Rehab Center for the exceptional care they gave to Dottie while she resided there. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the West Milton United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 82, West Milton PA 17886. A private graveside service will take place at Highland Cemetery, New Columbia with the Reverend Robert O. Rice, Jr. officiating. Arrangements are being handled by The Dale E.
