STEWARTSTOWN - Dorothy M. [Bowser] Cordrey, 87, died Monday, October 1, 2007 at her residence. She was the wife of Therman D. Cordrey to whom she was married for 68 years. A funeral tribute service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, October 4, 2007 at Cross Roads United Methodist Church, 13059 Cross Roads Avenue, Felton with her pastor, the Rev. Michael G. Trimmer officiating. Burial will be in the Church cemetery. A visitation with family and friends will follow in the Church fellowship hall. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Born August 24, 1920 in Windsor Twp. a daughter of the late Nelson and Alma [Downs] Bowser, following her graduation of beautician school she and owned and operated Dottie's Beauty Shop for 25 years, retiring in 1971. Mrs. Cordrey also enjoyed buying and selling antiques. She was a member of Cross Roads U.M. Church. In addition to her husband, Therman, Mrs. Cordrey is survived by a daughter, Maxine A. and husband Michael Hoffner of Millersburg, PA; a granddaughter, Teryn M. and husband Timothy Jewett; and two sisters, Faye Selack of Hellam and Norma Cordrey of Red Lion. She was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Bowser, and three sisters, Jeanette Seaks, June Smith, and Erma Bugash. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cross Roads U.M. Church, c/o Women's Auxiliary, 13059 Cross Roads Ave., Felton, PA 17322 or to VNA Hospice, 218 E. Market St., York, PA 17403.
