Dorothy L. (Strickhouser) Bobbitt

Dorothy Lucinda (Strickhouser) Bobbitt, 78, passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at her residence. She was the wife of Nicholas Leroy Bobbitt to whom she was married for 59 years. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Greenmount Cemetery, 721 Carlisle Rd., York. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements. Born on June 29, 1943 in York, she was a daughter of the late David H. and Dorothy E. (Neiman) Strickhouser. Dorothy was a housekeeper at SpiriTrust Lutheran Home. Mrs. Bobbitt was a member of First Assembly of God where she worked in the nursery and was involved with the Missionettes. She loved ministering to the people. Along with her husband, Nicholas, Dorothy leaves three sons, Nick L. Bobbitt, Jr. and his wife, Kathleen of Clarksville, VA, Michael A. Bobbitt and his wife, Diane of Kittanning and Matthew S. Bobbitt of York; daughter, Michelle L. Richter and her husband, Daniel of York; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, William Strickhouser and Kenney Strickhouser; and two sisters, Jannette Rahouser and Leah “Sis” Arndet.
